Very quietly I take my leave (2023)

Very quietly I take my leave, a composition for voice and live electronics, was written as a farewell to Bowling Green, Ohio, marking the end of two meaningful years of master’s study there. Drawing inspiration from Xu Zhimo’s 1928 poem “Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again,” the piece weaves excerpts from works I created during my time in Bowling Green into the fixed media.
